– Could not even find an internship due to not being as young as a fresh graduate to be trusted that will have quick learnings at work (in Vietnam)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Was told: “You don’t have a hobby in professional photography, I doubt that you are really interested in art and design” (!?) – Wait, what? Why that “must” be my hobby?)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Was told: “You don’t know much compared to other younger candidates, we cannot pay you because we have to teach you”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
–> The next interview at another company, I got the offer as a Junior<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Was told: “We could not pay you the full salary as in your signed contract after your trial period because your ability is not there yet”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
–> I declined and quit the job, and immediately found a better job at a better company, with better people and a better salary \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Was told that “your banner design for that cosmetics looks like those ones they are selling in super cheap outlet markets”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– was told that “you are not young enough to change a career now”; “you are not young enough to move to another country and start a new life now, you’re better should stay in Vietnam, get married, have kids, and later in life you might plan to go with your family.” (!?)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
–> Wait, what? So you mean I will have to try to find someone and date (1-3 years), get married, try to have a baby (1-2 years), give birth to my baby, and wait for them to grow up a little bit (2-4 years), so totally around 5-6 years and then plan to live my life in another country again, go study and start my career again at that time? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So what I did:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83e\udd17 I changed my career anyway, and I started to learn what I wanted. Back then in Vietnam, it took me only 4 months to get a full-time job people thought I would have to take 1 to 2 years to get that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83e\udd17 I went to study abroad anyway because that has always been my dream, and got my traineeship after 1 year, then officially got a permanent job after nearly 1 more year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83c\udf37Now I have a great place to work, a job I love, and a warm place to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I think I have everything I need in life after all, after every saying that I could not do it, finally turned out that I can do it all \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n
